I decided to set aside this afternoon to email a bunch of photographers with my resume and a small portfolio to try and get some work experience or assisting work. What I didn’t expect out of it all was a phone call from the first person I emailed, Uri Auerbach. I’m going to be assisting him next week.

What else do you like doing for fun?
I enjoy watching live music so I’m at a gig almost every weekend. My social life pretty much revolves around the local scene so I spend alot of time with mates at these shows.

I guess it’s something I’m not thinking about at the moment.

Have you considered just doing some freelance journalism?
If it were to come my way, I would probably take it just for the experience. I’d probably still enjoy it, but whether my writing skills are still up to par, well thats another story…
